Comment(s) on data
Paragourretia biffari comb. nov. in Poore et al. (2019, Memoirs of Museum Victoria).
Comment: this specimen cannot be determined to species level. It is affiliated to Cheramus marginatus (Rathbun, 1901) from western Atlantic (15-640 m) but it differs by the aspect of frontal margin of carapace, telson and internal ramus of uropod, as illustrated in Manning & Felder (1991, fig. 14) and Biffar (1971, fig. 16). The internal ramus of uropod has similarities with that of Cheramus profunda (Biffar, 1973: 226, fig. 1) but this last species has no rostral spine while there is one in Guadeloupe specimen.
According to P. Dworschak (mail April 2017) this is probably Gourretia cf. biffari (Ctenochelidae or Gourretiidae).
