Comment: this species was recognized by R. Lemaitre. It is the sole species in the genus and cannot be confused with any related species. It lives in a tubular cavity in wood or stone, unnoticed during Karubenthos II. This is the first record of the species since its description. Its depth range, previously unknown, is presently set to 485-496 m.
