Comment: This is the first record of this species described 'probably off Cuba' and retreived 'presumably' from off the north coast of Cuba (Chace, 1942: 29). Indication of 'Dominica, St Vincent, 176–444 m' in Baba et al. (2008) catalog for this species is by error (pers. com. K. Baba, 2016).
