Comment: This is the first record of this species since its description in 1996 and a geographic range extension from Gulf of Mexico to Lesser Antilles. An other species of this genus is reported in the western Atlantic, Calastacus mexicanus Kensley, 1996, but the two species are easily distinct by aspect of the first pereopod (cf. Kensley, 1996: 162, tab. 2).
