Xylopagurus tenuis Lemaitre, 1995: 9, 19, St Vincent [R/V Blake, from A. Milne-Edwards (1880) and A. Milne-Edwards & Bouvier (1893), in part with this comment 'The illustrations presented by A. Milne-Edwards (1883), and by A. Milne-Edwards and Bouvier (1893), do represent X. rectus sensu stricto. However, examination of the type material has revealed that the male from off St. Vincent (station 223) actually represents X. tenuis, new species'].
