Comment: this tentative identification is based on the aspect of the rostrum, with 2 broad and short spines as illustrated in Rathbun (1925: 114, fig. 35). However, the specimens examined on photographs are dirty with details on the carapace such as spines and/or granules not visible. The identification must be checked with the specimens and Rathbun (1925: 106, key of American Collodes).

Comment(s) on data
First Id. of Karubenthos 2015 specimens as Collodes inermis, but depth range not in accordance (1-40 m). Collodes robustus is a better candidate for the deep range (27-683 m).
