World Distribution
Anker et al. (2006) - 0.5-1 m, Isla Margarita, Venezuela (type locality) and Bahía Cispata, Colombia.

Environnement : Marine - Substrat/Association : Soft bottom (mud or sand)

Vertical range : Shallow-waters (0-100 m) - Min-Max observed: 0-1 m

Distribution: IOV (Margarita). 0.5-1 m. WA.
Leptalpheus felderi Anker, Vera Caripe & Lira, 2006: 688, Margarita [MNHN-Na 13620].
Comment: Others potential Leptalpheus in IOV are a) L. axianassae Dworschak & Coelho, 1999, always associated to Axianassa australis, the later being reported from Margarita, and b) L. pereirai Anker & Vera-Caripe, 2016, described in part from a Venezuelan specimen collected at Isla Chimana Grande (10.290833 -64.650278, coll. Vera-Caripe, 2010) , a few miles far from the Venezuelan coastline but not included herein in IOV.
