Pelocarcinus cailloti - Ng et al., 2019 (Zoosystema): 100, HOLOTYPE (by monotypy, see Türkay 1974a: 973). — MNHNIU-2000-3751 (= MNHN-B3751), ? 54.0 × 75.0 mm, Loyalty Islands, coll. M. Caillot, Type. — Original labels: “Pelocarcinus cailloti”; “Pelocarcinus cailloti A. M. Edw. (Type), I. Loyauté, Caillot, 2523-86”; with “2523 86” on a small label stuck onto the carapace of the specimen. Additional label: “Type présumé (Holotype) de Pelocarcinus cailloti A. Milne Edwards 1890; Gecarcoidea lalandii H. Milne Edwards 1837, Révision M. Türkay VI.1972”.
