Ahyong (2012: 245) - All tropical oceans except the eastern Pacific. In the Indo-West Pacific, ranging from the western Indian Ocean to Hawaii and French Polynesia (Marquesas, Society)

Caldwell leg. 1980 (Moorea; in rubble, 1m). - Alima neptuni - Ahyong, 2002: 362 (Hiva Oa, Ua Huka, MUSORSTOM 9 campaign, 9-15 m and pelagic larva). - Caldwell observation, Moorea "Alima sp?, collected as larvae, very common, adult seen in burrow on sand flat". - Synonyms: Alima alba (Bigelow, 1893).
