With these comment for color: The holotype of R. vittata and additional material from the western Pacific (Macpherson 2009; Osawa 2012)have the ground colour of the carapace and abdomen orange-red, with some wide white bands along the dorsal surface of the carapace. The P1 has with white and red bands, being the distal portion of the fingers white. The P2-P4 are red, without white bands. The pattern observed in the specimens from the Mozambique Channel is similar, although the distal portion of the fingers is reddish.
