(Kemp, 1911) but Alima hildebrandi (Schmitt, 1940).
Distribution/Habitat – WA; Marine; intertidal–70 m;
Remark – Ahyong (2001: 188) indicates 'Alima hieroglyphica sensu stricto is restricted to the Indo-West Pacific population. Alima hildebrandi is removed from the synonymy of A. hieroglyphica and recognized for the Atlantic population
