Vertical range : Shallow-waters (0-100 m) - Min-Max observed: 0-70 m

French Guiana and surroundings areas: Guiana, Suriname, Brazil (Amapà)
Alima hieroglyphica – Le Loeuff & Cosel, 2000: 25, annexe 1, French Guiana [70 m]. Not Alima hieroglyphica
(Kemp, 1911) but Alima hildebrandi (Schmitt, 1940).
Distribution/Habitat – WA; Marine; intertidal–70 m;
Remark – Ahyong (2001: 188) indicates 'Alima hieroglyphica sensu stricto is restricted to the Indo-West Pacific population. Alima hildebrandi is removed from the synonymy of A. hieroglyphica and recognized for the Atlantic population
