Ahyong (2012: 239) - This revised distribution of G. micronesicus suggests that the species favours oceanic island habitats in the central-western to central Pacific, from Micronesia, Guam and French Polynesia. 10-62 m. - 3-62 m in Ahyong (2017, Zootaxa).
