All these records are Tuerkayana latens Ng & Shih, 2023 (see map fig. 13). p. 10 - The records of Cardisoma rotundum” or “Discoplax rotunda” from Marquesas and Tuamotu by Poupin (1994, 1996, 2010) should all be referred to Tuerkayana latens. The holotype is: male (52.8 × 42.7 mm) (MNHN-IU-2011-5594), Niau Atoll, Tuamotu, French Polynesia, coll. J. F. Butaud, 2006. Note de JFB for condition of collection - Il a été récolté entre 3 et 7 m d'altitude, à plus de 500 m de l'océan ou du lagon (sous-salé pour Niau), dans une forêt naturelle bien conservée sur substrat calcaire aux blocs de près de 1 m de hauteur, à proximité de crabes de cocotiers.
