Remark – This is a very common shore crab in the Lesser Antilles, but apparently more rare in the French Guiana region, with a single occurrence in the Iles du Salut.

Draft for French Guiana - This record is doubtful, and could be Goniopsis cruentata instead, because at least one other determination from Ile du Salut Expedition (unknown identifier) is obviously false (see under Goniopsis cruentata).
