World Distribution
Davie (2012: 158, Memoirs QM) - Widely distributed throughout the Indo-West Pacific Ocean from Mauritius, the west coast of Thailand, through Indonesia, and further east to Japan, Hawaii and French
Polynesia. Within Australia M. convexus is found along the north-west coast of Western Australia,
the Northern Territory, and extend ing south along the eatern coast of Queensland to about Shoalwater Bay. Includes New Caledonia, Wallis & Futuna, French Polynesia, Society (Bora Bora, Tahiti, Moorea)

Environnement : Brackish - Substrat/Association : Soft bottom (mud or sand)

Vertical range : Intertidal - Min-Max observed: 0-2 m
