Neaxius trondlei Ngoc-Ho, 2005: 59, fig. 6-7 (Holotype: Marquesas Islands, Ua Huka, MUSORSTOM 9, stn 19, Hane bay, W coast, with algae, corals, pebbles, 5.X.1997, male cl. 29 mm, tl. 78 mm (MNHN Th 1419). Paratypes: same locality, 1 male, cl. 30 mm, tl. 78 mm; 1 female, cl. 21 mm, tl. 56 mm (MNHN Th 1427); stn 23, W of Haamamao Bay, rocky coast with sand and pebbles, in sand, 1 male, cl. 13.5 mm, tl. 35 mm (MNHN Th 1428). - Unpublished - AAMP, Marquesas, 2012, MARQ-0359, Leg 2, St. 21, Ua Huka, 20 m, coll.
