World Distribution
McLay (2009: 23, Zootaxa) - Tumidodromia dormia is found in the Indo-West Pacific region, from the Red Sea, East Africa, Madagascar, Seychelles, Mauritius, China, Japan, Ambon (Indonesia), Philippines, New Caledonia, Hawaiian Is, and Marquesas Is (French Polynesia). Depth range is 8–112 m. Also Comoro (Mayotte, 6-12 m). Catro (2011) - 8-156 m.

Environnement : Marine - Substrat/Association : Associated with sponges

Vertical range : Shallow to deep-waters (e.g. 10-190 m) - Min-Max observed: 6-156 m
