Serène (1984 : 198) - Hawaii, localité type, et Mayotte, seulement.

Environnement : Marine - Substrat/Association : Hard bottom (rock and rubbles)

Vertical range : Shallow-waters (0-100 m) - Min-Max observed: 0-5 m

It seems that this species is still known only from Mayotte and Hawaii (see Castro, 2011).
