Comment: this species is reported here for the first time in the Lesser Antilles. The determination is based on the general aspect including shape of the front as figured by Rathbun (1937, pl 81). A few characters are given by Tavares (1996: 270) to separate this species from the affiliated Cyclodorippe agassizii A. Milne-Edwards, 1880 also in the Lesser Antilles (Grenadines): front with coarse granules, metagastric and cardiac tubercles of similar size, area behind dorso-orbital margin smooth, dorsal aspect of orbital margin curved. Cyclodorippe ornata Chace, 1940, described from Cuba (432 m) is also very close (cf. Tavares, 1996a: 262, key) but it is distinct by a wide indentation in the middle of the front (cf. Chace, 1940, fig. 7).

Comment(s) on data
C. ornata is from Cuba (432 m), cf. Tavares (1996a: 272).
