Remarks — Gonioinfradens paucidentatus is the single species in the genus. It has only 4 spines on anterolateral margin of the carapace with 2 additionnal smaller intercalated spines between spines 1-2 and 2-3. Specimens examined herein are in agreement with description in Appel & Spiridonov (1998).
Geographic and depth ranges — Red sea, Kenya, Mayotte (this work) to Japan, French Polynesia; subtidal to 150/300 m.

This species has been reported several times in Mediterrenean but according to Galil et al. (2018, Zootaxa) all these records must be considered as Gonioinfradens giardi (Nobili, 1905).
